Bicentenary celebrations #Nightingale2020

A year to remember

Florence Nightingale was born on 12th May, 1820 so throughout her bicentenary year in 2020 we had planned a series of events to celebrate, both here at the museum and with our partners internationally.  Florence is remembered as the founder of modern nursing, but she was so much more; a female icon in her own lifetime, a healthcare pioneer, an influential statistician, a trailblazer and a leader. And her legacy still lives on today.
