About this objectFull length dark blue, wool coat. Fully lined, five black buttons with St Thomas' Hospital crest on front (one missing) same button on each cuff, one plain button on the opening at the back. Two pockets on front and matching belt with buckle. Hand sewn name label "Pamela Biss". Coat was worn 1949-1953 as outdoor uniform. Coats lent by the hospital were half lined, this coat was purchased by the owners parents and fully lined. Capes were worn outdoors only when travelling by hospital bus, at all other times this coat was worn when outdoor and in uniform.
