Nightingale2020 nursing conference
Join us for Evensong at St Paul’s Cathedral
Commemorating the bicentenary of Florence Nightingale’s birth this international conference will set the agenda for nursing to transform global health and care. Florence Nightingale used innovation and data to change patient care, improve health outcomes and professionalise nursing. Her legacy continues to inspire and motivate nurses around the world.
The Nightingale2020 programme gives nurse leaders the tools they need to make an impact through their work, to build value in the nursing profession, to use health tech in patient care and to improve global health and care for the next generation.
Nightingale2020 delegates will experience keynote presentations from international nurse leaders, gain understanding of the latest developments in global health ambitions and be inspired by a high-quality symposium, curated by a scientific committee and including academic papers, debates and skills workshops. Our conference agenda is organised into four tracks which are current to today’s nurses and midwives: covering nursing impact, world health, professionalism and digital health.
The World Health Assembly has declared 2020 as the Year of the Nurse and Midwife. This is a once in a generation opportunity to put nurses and midwives at the centre of global and national health policy. Nursing Now, a collaboration between the World Health Organisation and the International Council of Nursing will present learning and insights from its international campaign to improve health globally by raising the status and profile of nursing.
