Session Details

Live Zoom workshops are approximately 40 minutes in duration and can be booked during term-time, Monday to Friday, at a time to suit you.

We can accommodate up to two classes per Zoom session. If teachers wish to book more than two classes, we would suggest booking additional Zoom sessions.

Teachers will need to have access to Zoom and a relevant computer/TV monitor/smart board so that children can see Florence clearly on a screen.

The cost of this session is £75 + VAT.

  • To gain an understanding of why Mary Seacole went to the Crimea and what it was like working in the Crimean War.

Florence Nightingale:

  • To gain an understanding of why Florence Nightingale is famous and why we remember her.
  • To gain an understanding of why Florence Nightingale went to the Crimea and what is was like working in the Crimean War.
  • To find out how Florence Nightingale improved conditions for the nurses and soldiers in the Crimean War.

Learning Objective for both sessions:

  • To help pupils engage with mental health and wellbeing and why this is important to nursing as well as to wider social interactions.

  • Your name and contact details
  • School name
  • Preferred date/time of workshop

If the dates you request are unavailable, we will try to offer the closest available dates. A date will be held for 2 working days, while we await the return of the booking form.

Once a booking form has been received by us from a school, a confirmation email will be sent out. After the confirmation has been sent, the cancellation policy applies.
