Description
The image on the roundel is taken from the painted and leaded glass lancet window panel was discovered in store in Guy’s Hospital in 2017. The glass panel may have come from Riddel House- a nurse’s home established for St. Thomas’ Hospital and the Nightingale Training School. This glass portrait of Florence may have been the only surviving treasure from the home. The panel dates from the early 20th Century and is on display in the museum.
A handcrafted glass window decoration made in the borders of Scotland and Cumbria by Winged Heart Stained Glass of Brampton. Framed with traditional stained-glass lead and hung with a trace chain.
To clean your roundel just use a ‘huff’ and a soft cloth, do not immerse in water or use spray cleaners. Avoid prolonged exposure to strong sunlight. To ensure the suction cup, that is included, remains on the window put a light smear of egg white on the back and attach excluding all air. Check adhesion from time to time.
This roundel comes boxed.
